A Man and His Watch | Cool Material

Setting aside the inherent sexism, this is an excellent book for all watch fans - it sets out individual people, their watches, and the stories behind them - where and when they came to have them, and what they mean to them. Many of the stories are very interesting and even moving, and the photography is wonderful. On the downside, many most? The condition the book came in did not meet my expectations. Jan 05, Neha rated it liked it. Sorry, but we can't respond to individual comments. Without Cartier, men would still be wearing pocket watches. Beautifully photographed and comes in a slipcase which isn't the best for a library shelf but makes it nice for gift giving.

I never thought that watches would hold much historical importance until and unless it is personal for someone else to talk about it in relation watcj his or her own life.
